We have been contacted by Bath NHS Foundation Trust who advised us of the Royal United Hospital’s proposal to relocate the adult CFS/ME service from the Mineral Hospital to a purpose-built Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) and Therapies Centre at the RUH’s Combe Park site.
“I’d be grateful if you could assist us in highlighting opportunities to provide feedback, as part of an engagement exercise that will be running until 4th September 2017.”
“The service will continue to be provided, with the same team and service provision, just from a different location, which should provide additional benefits for patients, visitors and clinicians.”
The RNHRD’s paediatric CFS/ME service relocated to the RUH site last year and more information about this move can be read on their website.
Bath Centre for Fatigue Services – Adult service
There are two ways to provide feedback. Either by completing an online survey or by attending either of two events (below).
“Come along to an engagement event:
- Bath, 31st July, 1.30 – 4.30 at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution (BRSLI), 16-18 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN
- Wiltshire, 1st August 1.30 – 4.30 at the Independent Living Centre, St George’s Road, Semington, Wiltshire, BA14 6JQ
“You can meet with clinicians, hear more about the new RNHRD and Therapies Centre, provide feedback on our proposal to relocate or have any further questions answered. Everyone who has an interest in these services is welcome to attend.”
“There will be an opportunity to view the latest designs of the RNHRD and Therapies Centre. Our Commercial Projects Team would like to hear about your experiences and any practical ideas you may have to contribute on how the environment of the new building could further improve services for patients, their families and carers.”
