Teen Fashion model Keri Johnstone (pictured) is certainly one of the most glamorous fundraiser’s we have had for ME Awareness Week. But she didn’t start out that way.
As a younger child she was teased about her height and her spots. Now at 15 years of age, her 6ft height is standing her in good stead and she has embraced what she looks like.
She was scouted by a fashion designer whilst on holiday when she was just 13. Since then she has walked the catwalk in Berlin and has done fashion shoots for designers in Europe and the UK.
Her mother Karen tells us that she is a very kind soul and is working hard to raise awareness of M.E.
Keri is thrilled to be in the finals of the Miss Teen Continental UK Contest and has kindly agreed to support the ME Association for her required charity work.
Keri chose the to support the charity at the suggestion of Rosemary Lloyd, a member of and advocate for the ME Association and present holder of the Miss Worldwide 2017/18 title.
Keri spent her Bank Holiday Monday doing a Charity walk in aid of the ME Association ‘Go Blue for M.E.’ campaign. With friends and family, she distributed leaflets and gave out balloons and stickers whilst walking around a packed Royal Victoria Country Park in Netley, Hampshire.
Her Justgiving page has raised over £100 for the ME Association in the hope that research will find a cure for this dreadful illness.
Rosemary Lloyd is to be judging the Miss Continental UK competition at Clayton Crown Hotel in NW2 3ED from 7.30pm on Friday 11th May.
Rosemary has generously offered to award a BLUE custom crown and sash to the contestant making the best charity public appearance in aid of M.E.
