Could you help this postgrad student with your experiences of complementary and alternative therapies | 15 March 2017

Fiona Cox, a health psychology postgraduate at the University of the West of England in Bristol, is conducting a survey into the use of complementary and alternative therapies (CAM) by people with ME/CFS and the ME Association has agreed to help here with some publicity.

She says many people with ME/CFS find CAM helpful though there is often little scientific evidence to support their use.

For her dissertation, she has chosen to explore why people with ME/CFS use CAM, what people expect from them and whether the results have been beneficial. She has already dipped into the ME Association’s own massive illness management survey for source material.

Fiona writes: “I am carrying out an on-line survey to record your experiences.

“I would be grateful if you would complete this confidential survey by clicking on the link. I appreciate it may appear daunting, but it doesn’t have to be completed at one time, you can return to the survey within seven days. Alternatively if you open it on a device with voice recognition, you can speak your answers.

If you would like to take part, the questionnaire can be found HERE.
